John David Pieratt

John David Pieratt, age 84 of Jonesboro, formerly of Ohio passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, Tuesday, September 23, 2025. He was born February 14, 1941 in Mountain Township of Saline County, the son of Ernest and Lillian (Taylor) Pieratt. He married Mary H. "Terrie" Gehring, and she survives.

John is survived by his children, Jennifer and husband Aaron Cook, Suzanne and husband Norman Magill, Cynthia Cain, Cheryl and husband Donald Allen, Gina Young, James and wife Andrea Arendt and Alice Arendt; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Miller and Norma Sturm; other extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Pieratt.

Jon was a master carpenter and a master printer. He had a curious mind and built additional skills in electronics while doing sub-contract work in the field. John will be deeply missed and warmly remembered.
