John Lawrence "Larry" Robertson

John "Larry" Robertson, age 82 of rural Anna, Illinois, died peacefully just past midnight on October 6, 2020 at his home, with his wife Pat and nephew Tom and his wife Valera by his side.He was born on April 23, 1938 in Elizabethtown, Illinois the son of Irl Vest and Ruby (Birch) Robertson. He married Patricia A. Dodson on December 20, 1958 at the Rosiclare Methodist Church.Larry is survived by his wife Pat; 1 brother, David (Peggy) Robertson, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Tommy and Jim Robertson as well as three sisters, Betty, Beverly and Maryann.Larry served 20 years in the United States Army. After retiring from military service, he worked as a mechanic for the city of Anna, retiring in 1996. A few of his many interests were woodworking, gardening, reading, genealogy and his cats.Graveside services and military honors for John "Larry" Robertson will be held at a later date at Empire Cemetery in Hardin County, Illinois.Memorial contributions can be made to PAWS Place Adoption Center in Anna and will be accepted at the funeral home.Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
