John W. Elkins

John W. Elkins, age 84 of Anna, died Thursday, December 26, 2019 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born October 21, 1935 in Ware, the son of James and Dovie (Merriman) Elkins. He married Lola Ryan on Feburary 13, 1999 in Anna. John is survived by his loving wife, Lola Elkins of Anna; one brother, Donald (Doris) Elkins of Massachuttes; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters and brothers. John attended Anna-Jonesboro Community High School and was a member of the Refuge Worship Center in Ware for many years. He was an avid golfer. John retired from Choate Mental Health after twenty six years of service. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 30, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Danny Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lola Elkins to help her with expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
