John Henry Day

Mr. John Henry Day, age 87 of Anna, died at 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Anna Rehab and Care Center in Anna. He was born January 3, 1924 in Shelby County, Tennessee. John is survived by his dear friend Charley Sands of Carbondale. He proudly served in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy. Funeral services for Mr. John Henry Day will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois. Interment will be in the Mound City National Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Illinois National Guard Military Funeral Honors Team in Marion. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
