Joe Mccommons

Mr. Joe McCommons, age 65 of rural Dongola, died at 11:50 am, Friday, January 31, 2014 at his home in Dongola. Joe was born on April 18, 1948 in Anna, the son of Ira Junior "Jod" and Betty June (Hileman) McCommons. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Dunn on July 15, 1966 in Union County. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; one son, Keith (Candace) McCommons of Vienna; one daughter, LaRay (Chris) Parker of Vienna; six grandchildren, Ashtyn McCommons, Cale, Blaine and Bryson Moake and Nick and Collin Parker; one brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie (Judy) Dunn of Boles; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donnie McCommons. Joe was a member of the former Methodist Church in West Vienna. Joe loved his family dearly, including his many dogs. He loved to hunt and work on and restore tractors as well as automobiles. Funeral services for Mr. Joe McCommons will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Interment will be in the St. Johns Cemetery near Dongola. Friends may call at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5 until 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 2, 2014. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Johns Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
