Joann Spiller

Joann Spiller, age 59 of Cobden, died at 3:48 am Thursday, August 11, 2016 in the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born in Union County, IL on December 26, 1956, the daughter of William Fraiser & Edna Mae (Davis) Matheney. She married Robert Roy Dover on October 9, 1982 in Champaign. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1988. Later, she married Paul Spiller, on February 15, 1991 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2010. Joann is survived by her children, Anna Mae Dover of Anna, James Dover of Beecher City, IL, and Andy Dover of Cobden; six grandchildren, Joey Rulevish, Trenton Rulevish, Calvin Smith, Chloe Dover, Kylie Dover and Madison Dover; two brothers, Billy Matheney of Cobden, and Daniel Matheney; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Dover and husband, Paul Spiller; infant daughter, Cathy Jo Dover; two brothers, William F. Matheney Jr. and Leon Matheney; two sisters, Rosemary Mason and Francis Matheney. Joann loved the outdoors, traveling and spending time with her family. Joann worked many years at Florsheim Shoe Company in Anna. Funeral services for Joann Spiller will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Rev. Bobby Richardson officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 in Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
