Jo Ann Vedok

Mrs. Jo Ann Vedok, age 77 of Anna, died at 7:50 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 in the Anna Rehab and Nursing Center in Anna. She was born January 29, 1936 in Bloomington, Illinois, the daughter of James and Irene Harrington Sowder. She married John Vedok Jr. on November 29, 1957 in Crown Point, IN. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2006. Jo Ann is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Jo Vedok of West Virginia, Carol Ann Boucher of Anna; three grandchildren, John Allen (Brandy) Whitney, Michael W. Boucher, Kenneth Dalton Pearl; two great grandchildren, Bradley Boucher and Miah Ashton Whitney; three sisters, Barbara Buczkowski of Chicago, Edith (Jerry) McKean of Cedar Lake, IN, Kathy (Morton) Bernales of Oaklahoma City, OK; many cousins; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Vedok Jr; one daughter, Gail Lynn Pearl; one sister, Joyce; and one brother, James Sowder. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
