Jo Rion

Mrs. Jo Rion, age 79 of Anna, died at 9:33 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 in the Jonesboro Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was born March 6, 1937 in Marion, the daughter of Robert Wesley and Madge (Rodgers) Dalton. She married Don Rion on September 19, 1955 in Tunica, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1999. Jo is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Rion of Anna; two sons, Lonnie Rion of Dongola and Doug Rion of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Scott (Shannon) Thompson, Kris (Kelle) Love, Olivia Rion, Josh Peeler, Austyn Brazell and Brandy (Pat) Leary; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Loyd and one brother, Roger Dale Dalton of Benton; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Rion; and two brothers, Wesley and Billy Dalton. Jo was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Jo Rion will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Doug Bridgeman officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
