Jerry Lee Richardson, Sr.

Jerry Lee Richardson, Sr. age 84 of Anna, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 28, 1940 in Vienna, the son of Claude Hartsel and Mary Thelma (Moak) Richardson. He married Mary M. Gibbs on April 30, 1960. She preceded him in death April 5, 2024.

He is survived by his children, Jerry (Ruth) Richardson, Jr. of Anna, Claude (Chantell) Richardson of Melbourne, FL, Nina (Robert) McDaniel of Jonesboro, and Terry (Crystal) Richardson of Anna; grandchildren, Greg (Lisa) Richardson of Coco Beach, FL, Randy Richardson of Anna, Stephen Webb of Jonesboro, Tia (Mike) Arthur of Carbondale, Rebecca (Patrick) Nesbit of Anna, Kyle (Ellie) McDaniel of Anna, Aaron McClure of Orlando, FL, Tyler (Katie) McDaniel of Anna, Logan Morse of Anna, Kanisha Alston of Carbondale, Noah (Erin) Richardson of Anna, and Connor Richardson of Anna; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert "Bob" (Sandy) Richardson, Sr. of Cypress and Mary (Daniel) Archey of Anna; other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary M. Richardson, and siblings, Bonnie Moreland, Helen Wright, Betty Myers, William H. Richardson, and Claude H. Richardson, Jr.

Jerry honorably served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was an avid car guy and a skilled mechanic. He could be found working on motors or doing bodywork on just about anything. Jerry and his wife Mary loved to travel to the mountains and the occasional car show. In later years he worked at Choate Mental Health until his retirement
