Jerry Roger Goodman

Jerry Roger Goodman, age 82 of Wolf Lake, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025 at his home. He was born on January 21, 1943 in Mill Creek, the son of Oscar Ordell and Wanda (Barnhart) Goodman. He married Bonnie High on May 29, 1965. They have enjoyed over 60 years together.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Bonnie Goodman of Wolf Lake; children, Dana Allen of Jonesboro, Andrew (Lisa) Goodman of Jackson, MO and Jonathan (Kim) Goodman of St. Charles; grandchildren, Michael Gilliam, Brody, Lane and Luke Goodman and Deanne and TJ Allen; great-grandchild, Flynn Gilliam; siblings, Audrey Davis of Jonesboro, Joyce Anderson of Anna, Lloyd (Brenda) Goodman of Anna and Rosemary Perkins of Indianapolis, IN; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Candace Goodman and siblings, Dotty Lipe, Clara May Nehring and Harley Goodman.

Jerry retired from Union Pacific Railroad after over 34 years as a Maintenance of Way mechanic. He truly enjoyed his job on the railroad and his mechanical skills were very helpful to family and friends. He was always willing to lend a hand when needed. Jerry loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and squirrel hunting.

Funeral services for Jerry Goodman will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Bobby Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery west of Dongola. Visitation will take place from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, July 5, 2025 and from noon until the funeral time at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 6, 2025 at the funeral home.
