Jeffery Ray "Jeffro" Baker

Mr. Jeffery Ray "Jeffro" Baker, age 53 of Dongola, died at 9:24 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 20103 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born October 29, 1959 in Anna, the son of Thomas J. and Bertha Lucille Trexler Baker. Jeffro is survived by his two sons, Joshua (Beverly) Baker of Lick Creek, Dustin Baker of Dongola; step daughter, Reba Robinson of Dongola; father, Thomas J. Baker of Dongola; special friend, Julia Stites of Dongola; special granddaughter, Taylor Marie Baker; five sisters, Lucille (Bill) Sampson of St. Petersburg, Florida, Brenda Brown of Jonesboro, Jo (Ronnie) Lovell of Jonesboro, Jan (Billy) Robertson of Hollister, Florida, Kim Gentry of Makanda; three brothers, Mike Baker of Minnesota, Scott (Rhonda) Baker of Dongola; Brian Baker of Jonesboro; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his mother; and one uncle, Buddy Baker. Jeffro worked many years as a truck driver. He loved the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. Funeral services for Mr. Jeffery Ray "Jeffro" Baker will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Paul Tirey officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Murphysboro. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Military Honors Team of Marion.
