Jeff Norton

Mr. Jeff Norton, age 71, of Alto Pass, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 at his home in Alto Pass. He was born June 20, 1940 in Alto Pass, the son of James and Vivian Baysinger Norton. He married Barbara Moore on December 17, 1959 in Benton. Jeff is survived by his wife, Barbara Norton of Alto Pass; two daughters, Debbie (Carl) Mauer of St. Peters, MO, and Dianne (Tony) Mercurio of O' Fallon, Mo; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Mauer, Corey Mauer, Joe Mercurio and Elly Mercurio; step father, Winford Brown of Anna; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded by his parents. Jeff was a member of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, and served as treasurer for the church for 35 years. He was a U.S. Marine, proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps. Jeff was retired from Choate Mental Health Center.Memorial Services for Mr. Jeff Norton will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church near Cobden, with Rev. Bob Fear officiating. Friends may call from 12 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church near Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the Church and at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
