Jason Sturgeon

Jason Sturgeon, age 35, of Buncombe, died at 7:15 am, Thursday, November 18, 2010 in Randolph County. He was born September 19, 1975 in Murphysboro, the son of Douglas D. and Carolyn Kay Burlison Sturgeon. Jason is survived by his father, Doug Sturgeon of Buncombe; his mother, Carolyn Hansell of Kissimmee, FL his daughter, Madison "Mackenzie" Sturgeon of Dongola; 1 sister, Lisa (Mike) Baker of Jonesboro; 1 brother, Jeff (Amy) Sturgeon of Buncombe; 2 aunts, Linda Sturgeon of Anna and Juanita Stegle of Elgin; 1 uncle, Darrell Sturgeon of South Carolina. Jason was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #318. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors.Funeral services for Jason Sturgeon will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. on Sunday at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery near Lick Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to Madison Sturgeon for her education fund. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
