Jason Shelton

Jason Shelton, age 45 of West Frankfort, died Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Franklin county Hospital in Benton. He was born March 25, 1974 in Cape Girardeau, MO, the son of Robert and Carolyn (Dunn) Shelton. He Married Jennifer Dunn on November 6, 1999 in Cobden. Jason is survived by his wife, Jennifer Shelton of West Frankfort; three children, Logan Shelton, Gage Shelton, and Reon Shelton all of West Frankfort; mother, Carolyn Maze of West Frankfort; father, Paul Maze of Benton; sister, Andrea (Mickey) Trant of Carterville; brother, Michael Maze of West Frankfort; mother and father-in-law, Janis and Kenneth Dunn of Carbondale; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bobby (Amy) Dunn; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Shelton. Jason enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, barbeque, and cookouts. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. David Maze officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with expenses. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
