Janice Short

Janice Short, age 78 of Anna, died Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born February 25, 1941 in Dixon Springs, the daughter of James and Mary (Etheridge) Smith. Janice is survived by her daughter, Gina (Steve) Loughridge of Anna; son, Ron (Myra) Williams of Wolf Lake; grandchildren, Whitney Perry (Brandon Robertson), Ronnie (Amy) Williams, Brittny William (Zack Kyle); great grandchildren, Alexis Williams, Caleb Perry, Mason Reynolds, and Makenna Reynolds; cousins, Mike (Lynn) Etheridge of North Carolina and Debbie (Steve) Clover of Alto Pass; sister Beth (Bret) Campbell of Golconda; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy Stallions and Eloise Bierer; and brother, Walter Smith. She was a member of the Baptist Faith and attended different churches throughout her lifetime. She served as the Auxiliary President of the VFW from 1994 to 1995. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 3, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
