Janet Dabbs

    Janet Dabbs, age 67 of Mill Creek, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 8, 1958 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of Grady and Imogene (Nolan) Dabbs. She married Cecil Salyers.

    Janet is survived by her daughter, Addison Newell-Dabbs; sister, Lisa McClellan; brothers, Jerry and Randy Dabbs; niece, Sydney Newell; numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, Carolyn Dabbs-Gill, Cathy Klasner, Sherry Newell, Linda Turner and Patricia Coleson and nephews, Jerry Dabbs, Nathan Klasner and Gary Sparks.

    Janet was an avid hunter. She enjoyed crocheting and traveling. She was a people person, always willing to help others. She loved her family and spending time with them. Her greatest accomplishment was adopting Addison.

    Memories of Janet Dabbs will be shared by family and friends at 5:00 pm Monday, January 5, 2026 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm until the service time at 5:00 pm Monday, January 5, 2026 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
