Janet D. Brumitt

Mrs. Janet D. Brumitt, age 90 of Anna, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born October 19, 1924 in Jonesboro, the daughter of Rollie A. and Gertrude Hunter Dillow. She married Vernon Pearce, he preceded her in death, she later married Raymond Brumitt and he preceded her in death. Janet is survived by her daughter, Tanya (Richard) Pengress of Anna; two grandchildren, Heath and Vance Pengress; sister in law, Violet Dillow of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and sister; one brother in law; niece and nephew. Janet was a member of the Anna United Methodist Church. She worked as a secretary for the Farm Bureau for over thirty years and worked at the Stinson Memorial Library. Years ago she was actively involved in the Union County Home Extension. Funeral services for Mrs. Janet D. Brumitt will be at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral in Jonesboro with Rev. Brett Yates officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 and until the service hour at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The preferred form of remembrance are memorial contributions to the Stinson Memorial Library or the Anna United Methodist Church.
