Janelle Randles Goodson

Mrs. Janelle Randles Goodson, age 68 of Cabot, Arkansas, formerly of Southern Illinois, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at her home. she was born April 15, 1947 in Anna, the daughter of William Alfred and Eula Knight Randles. Janelle grew up in Wolf Lake, she graduated from Shawnee High School then graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduation from S.I.U. she started a teaching career in the West Frankfort School District where she taught first grade for thirty- three years. During those years she resided in West Frankfort and Mt. Vernon. Upon retirement she and her husband moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas then later to Cabot, Arkansas where she passed away in her home with her husband by her side. Janelle was an active church member her entire life. Janelle is survived by her best friend, high school sweetheart and husband of fifty years, John Goodson of Cabot, AR; son, Jason Goodson of New Berlin; granddaughter, Alli Goodson who is currently attending Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR; brother, Greg (Candy) Randles of Wolf Lake; niece, Lisa Ellet; nephews Kirk Randles of Wolf Lake and David and Jeff Brandt of Florida. Funeral services Mrs. Janelle Randles Goodson will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Louis Frick officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
