Jane Ellen Yates

Jane Ellen Yates, age 89 of Mt. Pleasant, passed on Monday, May 3, 2021 at her home. She was born May 6, 1931 in Cobden, the daughter of Claude and Hazel (Bilderbeck) Anderson. She married Jesse Lee Yates on January 12, 1951 in Cobden. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2015. Jane is survived by her three sons, Thomas L. Yates of Cobden, Ronald D. Yates and Dennis S. Yates both of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Tommy Yates of Perryville, MO, Andrew Yates of Cobden, Sam Yates of Vienna and Charity Yates of St. Louis, MO; eight great-grandchildren, Whitney Nations, Michael, Jesse, Tyler, Autumn, Addison, Eathan, and Mayla Yates; three great-great grandchildren, Harlee and Eleanor Nations and Matthew Yates; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jesse Lee Yates; and sister, Shirley Wagner. Jane was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church for many years. She loved to travel and raise a vegetable garden with her husband. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
