James Donald Willyerd Sr.

Mr. James D. Willyerd Sr., age 81 of O'Fallon, formerly of Jonesboro died at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in the St. Paul's Senior Community in Belleville, IL. He was born August 31, 1934 in Jonesboro, the son of Louis Gene and Vivian Willyerd. He married Simone Scouse. James is survived by his wife, Simone Willyerd of O'Fallon; five children, James Willyerd Jr. of O'Fallon, Patricia (Eric) Williams of Collinsville, Greg Willyerd of O'Fallon, Carolyn Willyerd of Shiloh, and Louis Willyerd of Missouri; two grandchildren, Tanya Willyerd and Angie Willyerd; one great-grandchild, Bill Willyerd; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George Willyerd. James proudly served his country in the United States Army and was retired from the Air Force as a Supply Sgt., after twenty six years of service. Graveside funeral services for Mr. James D. Willyerd Sr. will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 in the Casper Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Whitley officiating. Interment will be in the Casper Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
