James Forrest Jones

Mr. James Forrest Jones, 87, of Dongola, died at 11:40 A.M., Saturday, October 2, 2010 at his home. He was born September 13, 1923 in Anna, IL the son of Everett Ray and Mattie Ethel Toler Jones. He married Patsy Sue Pierce on October 22, 1955 at the Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna.Forrest is survived by his wife, Pat Jones of Dongola; 3 children, Timothy (Cindy) Jones of Anna, Tamara Sue (Alan) Siuciak of Jacksonville, Fl, and Matthew Alex (Angela) Jones of Dongola; 8 grandchildren, Amanda (Rob) Sullivan, Ashley Jones, Stephanie, Michael, Jennifer, and Robert Siuciak, and Alyson and Olivia Jones; 1 great grandchild, Kaitlyn Marie Sullivan; other relatives & many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Pamela Kay Jones; a son, Franklin Todd Jones; a brother, Ernest Ray Jones; and a sister, Ilene Frances Rohr.Forrest was a member of the Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna. He served in the Marines during the WWII. He was a member of the Anna Masonic Lodge #520 AF & AM, Anna Eastern Star Chapter 522, and he was a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Southern Illinois and a 50 year member of the Ainad Shrine Temple.Funeral services for Mr. James Forrest Jones will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna with the Rev. Dr. Jim Clark officiating. Interment will be in the Friendship Cemetery in Dongola with military honors at the grave by Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the VFW in Anna and Illinois National Guard Honor Team in Marion. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Masonic rites will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the church by the Anna Masonic Lodge #520 AF & AM. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the church and at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
