James Edward Jackson Iii

James Edward Jackson III, age 74 of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Union County Hospital. He was born September 11, 1944 in Granite City, the son of James E. Jackson Jr. and June Dolores (McMillan) Jackson. When his father passed he was lovingly raised by stepdad Charles and June Dolores (McMillan) Lipscomb Sr. He married Mariann (Sadler) on April 25, 1983 in Marion. James is survived by his wife Mariann (Sadler) Jackson; his son David (Christen) Jackson of Jonesboro; daughter Jennifer Jackson of Virginia Beach, VA; son James (Robyn) Jackson of Brownsburg, IN; daughter Jaime (Kevin) Hall of Herrin; grandchildren, Nate Moss, Blake Jackson, Marshall Jackson, Christian Rawlinson, Landon Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Gage Aleong, Katie Kerr, and Andrew Aleong; sisters Maria (Martin) Hubbard of Effingham, Judy (Mike) McClendon of Poplar Bluff, MO, Rebecca (Scott) Oelkeof Broken Arrow, OK; brother Charles Lipscomb; uncle Harry McMillan of Perogould, AR; aunts Betty Lyons of Carlyle and Lois Evans of Granite City; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Jackson Jr. and stepdad Charles and June Dolores (McMillan) Lipscomb Sr.. He attended Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Alto Pass. He owned Jim's Towing Service in Carbondale. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Alto Pass with Reverend Bill Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Casper Cemetery in Cobden. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Alto Pass. Donations may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home and at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church.
