James H. "Blackie" Mueller

Mr. James H. "Blackie" Mueller, age 86 of Anna, died at 6:17 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at his daughters home. He was born May 7, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Herbert and Ruby (Clark) Mueller. He married Shirley Maxine Hileman on August 19, 1955 in Anna. She preceded him in death on May 20, 1989. James is survived by his daughter, Teresa (Todd) Vincent of Anna; two grandchildren, Michelle (Ronnie) Barnhart and Natalie (David) Stanley Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Trenton Barnhart and Kylee Stanley; uncle, Kenneth (Joan) Mueller of Anna; sisters in law, Anita Davis and Lotrell Hileman both of Anna; brothers in law, Robert (Doris) Hileman and Terry (Mary Beth) Hileman all of Anna; special friend, Charlie Hankins of Anna and friend, Barb Morey of Anna; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Shirley Maxine Mueller. James was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Anna. He was a graduate of Anna Jonesboro High School class of 1948 and a life member of the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455. James has worked for the Gazette-Democrat for seventy one years until the last few months when his health failed. James served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Funeral services for Mr. James H. "Blackie" Mueller will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Paul Tirey officiating. Interment will be in the McGinnis Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna. Friends may call from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the McGinnis Cemetery.
