James William "Bill" Brown

James William "Bill" Brown, 91 of Cobden, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro. He was born on April 21, 1929 in Decatur, IL the son of Charles and Alice (Jenkins) Brown. He married Nina Coleman. He is survived by his wife, Nina Brown; two sons, Charley (Beverly) Brown and Robert (Lisa) Brown; a daughter-in-law, Linda Brown; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael James Brown. Bill was a professional tinkerer. He loved gardening and living in the country. Funeral services for Bill Brown will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carbondale with Pastor Robert Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday, April 26 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the church and funeral home. Everyone attending will be required to wear face coverings and observe social distancing guidelines. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden is in charge of arrangements.
