Iris "Dee" Smith

Mrs. Iris "Dee" Smith, age 70 of Anna, died at 9:08 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born October 25, 1943 in Union County, the daughter of Cecil and Catherine Alene Turner Treece. She married Louie Smith in April of 1961. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2008. Dee is survived by her daughter, Lola (Troy) Mayberry of Anna; two sons, Rick (Debbie Dubois) of Anna, Roger (Teresa) Smith of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Dale Treece of Jonesboro; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Louie Smith. Dee worked many years in the deli at Food World in Jonesboro. Funeral services for Mrs. Iris "Dee" Smith will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Casper Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. and until the service hour at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
