Irene Tellor

Irene Tellor, age 81 of Dongola, died Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at her home. She was born September 27, 1938 in Alto Pass, the daughter of John Wallace and Georgia (Linton) Smith. She married Walter Tellor on March 20, 1954 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2013. Irene is survived by her children, Ronnie (Lois) Tellor of Dongola, Butch (Jeannie) Tellor of Elco, Rickie Tellor of Tamms, Carla (Kenneth) Chapman of Jonesboro, Junior Tellor and Billy Tellor both of Dongola; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; siblings, John Smith of Carterville, Bob Smith of Jonesboro; Betty Hutchinson of Anna and Mike Smith of Kansas City, KS; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Tellor; daughters, Patricia Broadway, Shelba Reed and Debbie Dukes; sisters, Marcella Tellor, Helen Smith, Geraldine Yates; and brothers, Randy and Jerry Smith. Irene was an avid animal lover, she enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Richard Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
