Irene Chamness Randall

Irene Chamness Randall, age 93 of Carbondale and formerly of Anna and Ullin, died at 1:40 pm, Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Carbondale Rehab and Care Center. She was born on April 6, 1919 in Jonesboro, the daughter of Noah and Carrie Belle (Kerr) Cooper. Irene was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro and later attended Crossroads United Methodist Church in Ullin. Irene is survived by her three children, Bill Chamness of DeSoto, John Chamness of Pinellas Park, FL and Sonje Lafferty of Dixon; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Juanita Abernathy and a brother, Harold Cooper. Memorial services will be held privately.
