Ida Wilma Thetford

Ida Wilma Thetford, age 90 of Cobden, died Thursday, August 12, 2021 in the Delta South Nursing Center in Sikeston, MO. She was born September 6, 1930 in Cobden, the daughter of Lowell Irvin and Rosa Mae (Leggans) Glasco. Ida is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Doug) Mayer of Makanda, Louise (Glenn) Clutts of Cobden, Renee (Adam) Furlow of Creal Springs; the love of her life, fur baby Elvis; six grandchildren, Stacy (Greg) Smith, Brock Proctor, Joshua (Danielle Quick) Proctor, Kristin (Chris) Masters, Michael Thetford, and Tyler Furlow; six great-grandchildren, Haley and Molly Smith, Rilynn Proctor, Kaden Lirely, Ella Masters, Beckett Masters and one on the way; step-sister, Betty (Loren) Eskew of Manteno; sisters in law, Bobbie Glasco and Stella Glasco both of Cobden; brother in law, Bill Tweedy of North Carolina; dear friend and cousin, Margie Millis and Henri; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Roy, Troy, and Paulie Glasco; sisters, Charlene Glasco Givens and Patsy Glasco Tweedy; two step-sisters, Emily McFarland, and Mary Highland; step-brother, Vertis Ray. Ida was a member of Water Valley Country Church in Cobden for over 50 years, and a member of Dimension Church in Dexter, Mo. She loved playing cards with her sisters in law and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2021 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Pastor Chris Masters officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service at 11:00 a.m. in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to P.A.W.S.
