Mr. Houston Casper, age 89, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Anna, died at 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in the Morning Glory Assisted Living in Peoria, AZ. He was born January 11, 1927 the son of Conrad Russel and Tirzah (Blackford) Casper. He married Vera Fae (Pulliam) on December 5, 1947 in Anna. She preceded him in death on February 22, 2013.Houston proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a carpenter in the construction trade for many years.Houston is survived by his daughters, Connie Rae (Casper) Collins of Sun City, AZ, Kimberly Kay (Casper) Franklin of Mesa, AZ; three grandchildren, Lisa Scarpinato, Patrick Collins and David Franklin; two great-grandchildren, Dustie Smith and Taylor Scarpinato.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vera Fae Casper.Funeral services for Houston Casper will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the New Beginnings Church in Anna. Interment will be in the Casper Cemetery with Rev. Richard Pearce officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Military Honors Team of Marion.Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. and until the service hour 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the New Beginnings Church in Anna. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to, Kitchen on the Street. Kitchen on the Street is a faith based non-profit organization. Turning hunger into hope....one child at a time. Envelopes will be available at the church and at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home of Anna.
