Mr. Henry "Pete" Taylor, age 93 of Anna, died at 4:10 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 in the Jackson County Rehab in Murphysboro. He was born February 29, 1920 in Vienna, the son of Giles and Lulu Cummin Taylor. He married Mary Croft on December 24, 1954 in Marion. She preceded him in death July 18, 1997. He later married Karen Gentry on September 11, 2009 in Pinckneyville. Pete is survived by his loving wife, Karen Taylor of Anna; Karen's children, Natasha (Chris) Gentry of Anna, Helena (Scott) Dunning of Wickliff, KY, James (Sheryl) Gentry of Anna; nine grandchildren, Dalton, Kaylynn, JJ Michelle, Sarah, Jordan, Megan, Camryn, Austyn, and Chance; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Croft; brothers and sisters, Ralph, Milburn, Walter, Harold, Paul, Erma, Gladyis, Jueel, Helen and Alice. Pete proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after twenty years of service. He was a member of the Anna Masonic Lodge 520 A.F. and A.M. for many years. Funeral services for Mr. Henry C. "Pete" Taylor will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery in Vienna. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois National Guard Military Honors Team of Marion. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 11:00 a.m. at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
