Helga Susan Pearl

Mrs. Helga S. Pearl, age 76 of Cobden, died at 2:07 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born September 28, 1937 in Stuttgart, Germany, the daughter of Alfred and Meta Haus Voetterle. She married Raymond Henry Pearl Sr on June 5, 1954 in Germany. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2008. Helga is survived by her children, Raymond Jr. (Teresa) Pearl of Vienna, Shirley Pearl-Tate of Cobden, Michael (Sandy) Pearl of Royalton, Debbie Wooten of Anna, Johnny (Rhonda) Pearl of Cobden; fourteen grandchildren, Tabitha Norment, Angel Karraker, Cody Pearl, Jeremy and Jason Clutts, Desiree and David Tate, Susan Pearl, Derrick Pearl, Kyle and Meagan Wooten, Jonathan, Brittany and Zach Pearl; seven great-grandchildren, and one on the way, Kyra Pearl, Prosper, Xander Norment, Sage Pearl, Phoenix Norment, Dawson and Trinity Pearl; one sister, Hannelore Vassallo of Reading, PA; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Henry Pearl Sr.; two sons, David and Robert Pearl; two daughters, Susan and Patricia Pearl; and one brother, Guenther Voetterle. Helga was of the Catholic faith. Happiness was home brewed in Helga's home. Helga first devoted her life to her husband Raymond in Germany in 1954. Helga and Raymond found each other and it was said to be love at first sight. Raymond and Helga soon married and began brewing their happy home with children, grandchildren, and eventually great-grandchildren. Helga was a blessed homemaker who lovingly devoted all her time to her family. Helga was the family rock and the glue that held everyone together. She had a great sense of humor and most of all she enjoyed her life and her family. Funeral services for Mrs. Helga S. Pearl will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Pastor Bon Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. and until the service hour at 3:00 p.m. in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
