Helen Jennette Stevens

Helen Jennette Stevens, age 93 of Dongola, died Monday, August 26, 2019 in Union County Hospital Long Term Care in Anna. She was born June 4, 1926 in Wetaugh, the daughter of Tilden B. and Ruth (Lentz) Crader. Helen is survived by her children, Judith (William) Etherton of Dongola, Becht (Lorraine) Stevens of Port Orange, FL, and Jeanette (Richard) Bowman of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Steven (Heather) Etherton, Angela (Hans) Kunstwadl, Andrew Bowman, Laura (Irvin) Macdougal, and Audrey (Vasil) Antanasov; five great grandchildren, Julia Etherton, Lily Kunstwadl, Parker Macdougal, Isabel Macdougal, and Mateo Gabriel; sister, Zetta Ramsey of Anna. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings. Helen enjoyed her work throughout the years. Helping others was an important part of her life. Helen enjoyed reading, especially western novels. She was a devoted mother to her children, always loving and giving, and put them before anything else. She found pleasure in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her presence will be missed but her spirit of love and kindness will remain with us always. There will be no services held.
