Helen Ruth Mccain

Helen Ruth McCain, age 87 of Jonesboro, died Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home. She was born April 12, 1934 in Gallatin County the daughter of George and Pearl Leona (Farley) Risley. She married the love of her life William A. Scroggins on February 5, 1951 in Arkansas. He preceded her in death. Helen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved spending her time bird watching and crocheting. She was a member of the Beach Grove Baptist Church. She retired from Choate Mental Health in Anna. She is survived by her son, William F. Scroggins of Jonesboro; daughter, Lou Reed and her fiancé Scott Miller of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Michael and Joshua Belford; sister Mary Lou Mobley of New Haven; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, William A. Scroggins; her parents and brother, Sam Risley. Graveside funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Jackson Cemetery in Ridgway. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service of 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Jackson Cemetery in Ridgway. Interment will immediately follow.
