Helen L. Matheney

Mrs. Helen L. Matheney, age 65 of Cobden, died at 7:40 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 in the Helia Healthcare in Carbondale. She was born April 25, 1948 in Cobden, the daughter of George L. and Dorothy L. Aldridge Danbar. She married William F. Matheney on April 22, 1975 in Cobden. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1994 Helen is survived by her three nieces, Dorothy Davis of Alto Pass, Catrina Dangbar of Jonesboro, and Ashley Dangbar of Cape Girardeau, MO; one brother Edgar Dangbar of Alto Pass; one sister, Debbie Dangbar of Cobden; three nieces; five great nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William F. Matheney; and one brother, George H. Dangbar. Funeral services for Mrs. Helen L. Matheney will be at 11:00 a.m. June 12, 2013 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Rev. Rex Goforth officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
