Hazel L. Corbin, age 92 of Jonesboro, arrived on this earth on May 5, 1919 and departed for her heavenly home at 2:53 am on September 1, 2011. Hazel was a member of the Anna Nazarene Church and remained active until the day she died. Hazel was also a 50+ year member of the Anna Chapter 522 of the Eastern Star where she held an office each year. She also worked at the First National Bank of Jonesboro for many years. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Barbara Brinson of Daphne, Alabama and Joyce (Dorris) Johnson of Anna; two sons, Larry (Rosalie) Hays of Tennessee and Jim Chaudoin of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Hazel felt blessed to have as a dear friend, Shirley Powles; a faithful companion, Robert Kimber and caring neighbors, Vickie and Rick Astin. Hazel's family would also like to thank TIP Hospice, especially the care given by Nettie, Martha and Debbie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Corbin and her son, Frank Chaudoin. Funeral services for Hazel Corbin will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. Dr. Richard Keeley officiating. Burial will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, September 3 from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Anna Church of Nazarene, the Anna Eastern Star Chapter 522, TIP Hospice or P.A.W.S. of Anna. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
