He was born on March 16, 1922 in Wood River, the son of Thurman and Iva (Karraker) Harvick. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Mark and Marla Harvick of Mesa, AZ; his grandsons, Shawn Harvick of Maryland Heights, MO and David Harvick of Nashville, TN; great-grandson, Preston Harvick and great-granddaughter, Jaydn Richardson; other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann Harvick; older brother, W. T. "Slim" Harvick; sisters, Laverne Moffit and Linna Mae Eddleman. The family soon moved to Dongola, where he grew up, learning to fish and competed as a high jumper. Lee lived in the Anna area for most of his life. He was a founding member of the Anna Church of Christ and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He proudly served in the United States Army where he spent close to four years fighting in the Asian theatre of combat. A part of his life of which he rarely spoke. Returning from the war, he met and married the love of his life, Mary Ann Crissip, on January 3, 1946. Lee followed in the footsteps of his father and older brother, becoming a carpenter.
