Harry M. Verble

Mr. Harry M. Verble age 87 of Anna, died at 1:45 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. He was born September 11, 1929 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Arlie and Maud (Helton) Verble. He married Jewel Pauline Slone on January 20, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2005. Harry is survived by his son, Terry (Christie) Verble of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Kevin (Brandy) Verble of Goreville, Callie (Caleb) Baird of Metropolis; two great grandchildren, Logan Verble and Addison Baird; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jewel Pauline (Slone) Verble; seven brothers and sisters. Harry retired from Amax Coal Company as a mechanic. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Funeral services for Mr. Harry M. Verble will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home of Anna with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the McGinnis Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
