Harold D. Dillow Sr.

Mr. Harold D. Dillow Sr., age 87 of Anna, died at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014 in the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. He was born July 8, 1926 in Anna, the son of Otis and Gertrude Beiglar Dillow. He married Charlene Elam on May 15, 1954 in Corinth, Mississippi. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2005. Harold is survived by his son, Harold Jr. (Deanna) Dillow of Paducah; two grandchildren, Harold III (Ashley) Dillow, and Kasie (Josh) Rambo; two great grandchildren, Elam and Elijah Rambo, and one on the way; other relatives and friends. Harold III and Ashley are expecting their first child, and Harold Sr. was looking forward to meeting his third great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlene Dillow; and one sister, Marcella Cain. Harold was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II, and was a life member of the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V. F. W. in Anna. He retired from the Railroad after working many years in communications. Funeral services for Mr. Harold D. Dillow Sr. will be at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Harold Dillow III officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 11, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
