Grace Louise (Powles) Thompson

Grace Louise Thompson, age 92 of Dongola, died January 3, 2023 at the Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born November 16, 1930 in Anna, the daughter of William Roy and Lorene (Allen) Powles. She married Bobbie Thompson on May 21, 1948 in Millcreek. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2021.

Grace is survived by her two sons, Robert Thompson of Dongola and Gary (Sandy) Thompson of Columbia; daughter, Janice Adamick (John Abbott) of Ashley; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fern Thompson of Dongola and Jean Lynn of Florida; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobbie Thompson; grandson, Jeremy Thompson; sister and brother-in-law, Deloris & Jack Wilson; and two brothers, Frank and Howard Powles.

Graveside memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2023 at St. Johns Cemetery with Pastor Doug Collison officiating. Interment will be in the St. Johns Cemetery west of Dongola. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to P.A.W.S. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
