Goldie E. Woods

Goldie E. Woods, age 105 of Jonesboro, died Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the Jonesboro Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born March 6, 1913 in Reynoldsville, the daughter of James Sheridan and Laura (Hooker) Clardy. She married Robert "Bob" Wall on November 20, 1935. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1956. She later married James Woods on August 28, 1965. He preceded her in death in May 1992. Goldie is survived by her grandson, Scott (Shawnna) Rhine of Anna; step-grandson, Toby (Carmen) Rhine of Dongola; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Megan Rhine; son in law, Everett (Judy) Rhine of Anna; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, daughter, Carolyn Rhine; five sisters; and two brothers. Goldie was a faithful member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Jonesboro. She worked for the State of Illinois as a mental health technician in Manteno until her retirement. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Goins officiating. Interment will be privately in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 11:00 on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
