Goldie Petraitis

Mrs. Goldie Petraitis, age 89 of Anna, died at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born July 16, 1925 in Monessen, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Sector Chuck. She married Bruno Petraitis in June of 1971 in Crown Point, IN. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1988. Goldie is survived by her son, Raymond Hamerla of Anna; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruno Petraitis; one sister, Mildred Goins; and one brother, Joseph Chuck Jr. Goldie was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna for many years. She was active in the community, she was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, A-J Women's Club, Mondianna HCE Club, Ladies Guild, Senior Circle, and the Relay for Life. Funeral mass for Mrs. Goldie Petraitis will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 in the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna with Father Federico Higuera officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. The rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
