Glenda (Yates) Acklin

Glenda Acklin, age 84 of Carbondale, died Monday, March 3, 2025, at Integrity Healthcare of Carbondale. She was born on June 25, 1940, in Union County to Wilburn and Ruby (Garner) Yates. She married Earnest Acklin on October 19, 1969. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2010.

Glenda is survived by her siblings, Shirley Ann Aldridge, Robert Dale Yates and Brenda Gale Shackleton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Eva Lucille Rich.

Glenda worked at Tuck Tape in Carbondale. She enjoyed genealogy and spending time with her family.

Following Glenda's wishes, no public services will be held. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
