Glenard Leon Frick

Mr. Glenard "Leon" Frick Jr., age 59 of Anna, died at 12:15 am, Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born on January 7, 1954 in Anna, the son of Glenard Leon Sr. and Mary (Rushing) Frick. Prior to Leon's disability, he was employed as a supervisor for the Department of Natural Resources at Touch of Nature in Makanda, IL. Leon was a kind hearted man. He always loved and cared for animals. He could tell you humorous stories about each of his pets from childhood and could recall each pet by name. In adulthood Leon enjoyed raising exotic birds. Leon also enjoyed reading and learning the most he could about most every subject matter. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Leon is survived by his mother, Mary Riley of Anna; two sisters, Linda Roseborough (Wayne) of Murphysboro and Alice Riley (Jason) of Anna; one brother, Michael Riley (Malinda) of Webb City, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives andmany friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Frick Sr. and one sister, Vickie Rushing. Funeral services for Mr. Glenard Leon Frick, Jr. will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. Geoff Bond officiating.
