Glen "Pee Wee" Evans

Mr. Glen "Pee Wee" Evans, 82 of Anna, died at 4:20 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Anna Rehab and Care Center. He was born March 15, 1930 in Anna, the son of Floyd H. and Elsie Younkin Evans. He married Sharlet Johnston on March 29, 1970 in Anna. Glen "Pee Wee" is survived by his wife, Sharlet Evans of Anna; 4 sisters, Eileen Robins of Marion, Bernita (John) Frerichs of Danforth, Geneva Sechrest of Urbana, and Helen Saddoris of Urbana; 2 brothers, Lynn Evans of Carterville, Don (Nancy) Evans of Marion; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Harold Floyd Evans. Glen "Pee Wee" was retired from Merry Meadows Farm in Goreville where he was employed for over 40 years. Graveside services for Mr. Glen "Pee Wee" Evans will be held at 12 noon, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the McGinnis Cemetery with Rev. Richard Keeley officiating. Interment will be in the McGinnis Cemetery east of Anna. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the graveside and at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
