Gladys Stark

Mrs. Gladys Shelton Stark, age 87, of Anna, formerly of Jonesboro, died at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at her home in Anna. She was born May 15, 1923 in Jonesboro, the daughter of Samuel W. and Maude Hensley Shelton. She married Ivan L. Stark on November 17, 1944 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2009.Gladys is survived by nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan; two sisters, Clara Caldwell and Dorothy Ury; and four brothers, Lloyd, Elbert, Oley and Junior Shelton. Gladys was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro for many years. She was retired from Choate Mental Health as a secretary in the business office.Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Shelton Stark will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
