Gladys Marie Jones

Mrs. Gladys Marie Jones, age 80 of Jonesboro, died at 11:37 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born on March 26, 1934 in Wolf Lake, the daughter of Harvey and Osia (Allen) Lyerla. She was united in marriage to Junior L. Jones in Wolf Lake. He preceded her in death in 1991. Gladys worked as a CNA for 35 years and was a member of the Anna Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. Gladys is survived by her three daughters; Sandra (Ronnie) Sullivan of Jonesboro; Diana (Billy) Simmerman of Jonesboro, and Linda Witford of Cahokia; two sons, Eddie Jones Witford of Jonesboro and James Jones of Cahokia; twelve grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; two sisters, Shelby Francis of Benton and Bonnie Bridges of Madison; other relatives and many friends. Friends and family will gather for a time of remembrance from 2-3:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
