Geraldine Smith

Geraldine Smith, age 78, of Anna, died at 7:55p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born October 13, 1937 in Carbondale, the daughter of Everett and Cora (Pearce) Johnson. She married Carl Smith, then later went on to marry Frank A. Smith.She is survived by her nephews, Steve Sutherland of Anna, Randy Sutherland of Anna; one niece, Kathy Jones of Benton, KY; cousins, Carolyn Murray of Jonesboro, Helen Sanders of Anna, Don Fuller of Crawfordsville, IN, Mildred Smith of Anna, and Linda Thurston of Pulaski; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; both her husbands, Carl Smith and Frank A. Smith; two sisters; and one infant brother.Geraldine was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. Graveside Services for Geraldine Smith will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 in the Big Creek Cemetery in Anna, with Rev. Jamie McBride officiating. Interment will be in the Big Creek Cemetery. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
