Gerald Eugene Miller

Mr. Gerald Eugene Miller, age 79 of Anna, died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 in the Anna Rehab and Nursing Center. He was born September 29, 1935 in Union County the son of Lester and Cynthia Williams Miller. He married Glenna Mowell on May 1, 1965 in Anna. Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Glenna Miller of Anna; one daughter Sondra (Greg) Holshouser of Anna; one son, Jeff (Racheal) Miller of Anna; five grandchildren, Cassie Graven, Dillon Holshouser, Holden Miller, Elizabeth Miller, and Laura Miller; one great-grandchild, Rhyker Graven; brothers and sisters, Carol (Phyllis) Miller of Anna, Eleanor Clardy of Anna, Ann Etta Seliger of Anna, Larry (Jane) Miller of Cobden, Donna Miller of Anna, Cynthia (Larry) Hall of Valrico, Florida, Betty (Max) Casey of Buncombe, Janet (Jack) Treece of Marissa and Jim (Rhonda) Brumitt of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Joyce Miller; two brothers in law, Jim Clardy and George Seliger. Gerald was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church. He taught Sunday school, and was a deacon and trustee for the church. Gerald farmed in Union county for several years , he later went to work for the Union County Highway Department. He retired from the Union County Highway Department after many years of service. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 318. Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Eugene Miller will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in the Anna Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Darryl Williams and Rev. Mitch Jackson officiating. Interment will be in the Big Creek Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in the Anna Heights Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Anna Heights Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna and at the church.
