Gerald Lee "Jerry" Myers

Jerry Myers, age 80 of Wolf Lake, died Saturday, May 11, 2024 at his home. He was born June 17, 1943, the son of Cyril Lymar and Freida Alice (Carter) Myers.

Jerry was born and raised on the Myers farm, and farming became his entire life. His passion was farming, and he could be found morning, noon or night out on the farm. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball.

He loved all his family and friends but cherished his only daughter, Lana (Myers) and son in law Doug Fite of Chesterfield, MO and could never get enough of his grandchildren, Abigail and Benjamin who survive him. Jerry is also survived by his brother, Montie and wife Laurie Myers; beloved nieces and nephews, Dana (Myers) Crain (Jason), Vickie (Myers) Ellet, Kerry Myers, Cindy (Myers) McDaniels (Chuck), and Jay (Angela) Pierce.   There are many more loved nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Sherry (Woodard) Myers; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, brother Richard "Dick" (Tootie) Myers; sister Denise (Howard) (Myers) Pierce; former wife, Judy K. (Woodard) (Myers) Dillow, and brother-in-law, Samuel D. Woodard, Jr. Richard "Dick" Myers, Samuel J. "Sam" Myers; sister, Denise Pierce; and longtime partner, Mary Lou Risto.

Jerry is very loved and will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Duck Inn in Wolf Lake.
