George Pope

George Pope, age 74 of Dongola, died Monday, May 18, 2020 at his home. He was born November 24, 1945 in Chicago, the son of Nicholas and Hilda Pope. He married Donna Wright on April 11, 1976 in Palatine.George is survived by his wife, Donna Pope of Anna; son, Timothy Pope of Anna; daughter, Jennifer Pope of Brodhead, WI; grandchildren, Melody and Heaven Pope; brothers, John, David, & Eric Pope; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, David Pope.George enjoyed fishing and cooking, and he loved his family more than anything. He honorably served his country in the United States Air force. He worked many years as a maintenance engineer. There will be no services held.
